HOUSTON, Feb. 9, 2007 -- Shell Oil Products US announced today that it will add to the heart-racing excitement of the 2007 Chicago Auto Show by giving away $10,000 in free gas. The 99th edition of the Show will encompass over 1.25 million square feet of prime exhibitor space and feature nearly 1,000 vehicles including the debut of next generation vehicles, concept cars, simulated road trails and driving machines, vehicle driving courses on the showroom floor, and much more all under one roof. It is being held at McCormick Place Complex from Friday, February 9 through Sunday, February 18.

One lucky winner out of twenty finalists from a Shell Oil Products US sponsored sweepstakes will participate in the gas giveaway at the Shell exhibit booth on Friday, February 16, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Each finalist will draw a Shell prepaid gas card, but only one will activate the gas pump at the booth signaling the card is worth $10,000. Additional Shell-sponsored activities featured will be a "Gas Pump Game" that will give visitors the opportunity to win Shell gasoline gift cards valued from $10 to $100.

Also on display will be the Shell/Pennzoil sponsored No. 29 Shell car in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. The No. 29 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Shell car is part of the well-known Richard Childress Racing (RCR) team, which counts the legacy of racing great Dale Earnhardt, and will be driven by Kevin Harvick. Visitors to the Shell booth will receive a free NASCAR t-shirt if they sign up for the Shell Platinum Select MasterCard(R) from Citi(R) Cards, which offers a 5 percent rebate on all Shell gasoline purchases and an additional 1 percent rebate on all other purchases. There will be additional games and giveaways at the Shell booth at SH9 in the South Hall with prizes that include gasoline gift cards.

Shell will also sponsor the "Official Petroleum Product" and "Project Cars Exhibit". Through the second sponsorship, Shell will provide local consumers with the opportunity to see the top SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) cars on display. Chicago-area Shell stations are also participating in the auto show activities by offering customers two specially- priced passes to the Chicago Auto Show with a minimum $10 gasoline purchase available at participating Chicago-area Shell stations. The discount passes, which can save consumers half the price of weekday auto show admission, are available at participating Shell stations through February 17, 2007, or while supplies last.
