Clear Thinking Group, Myers Named Liquidation Trustee In Leaseway Motorcar Transport Bankruptcy Case

HILLSBOROUGH, N.J., Feb. 7, 2007 -- Clear Thinking Group, LLC, a retailing/consumer products and industrial manufacturing consultancy headquartered here, and Joseph E. Myers, a partner and managing director in the firm, have been named Liquidation Trustee in the Leaseway Motorcar Transport Co. bankruptcy case. The appointment became effective with the confirmation of the company's Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganization by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of New York, on January 26, 2007.

Under terms of the engagement, Myers and staff from Clear Thinking Group's Creditors Rights Practice will take all actions consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the Liquidation Trustee, as outlined in the Liquidation Trust Agreement. Such actions will include, but not be limited to, handling the wind-down of Leaseway Motorcar's estate, the prosecution of claims and the disbursement of funds to general unsecured creditors.

Leaseway Motorcar of Niagara Falls, N.Y. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of New York, on January 25, 2006. At the time of the filing, it was the second-largest unionized car-haul employer in the U.S.
