Don Swearingen Returns to Mitsubishi as Vice President of Fixed Operations

February 6, 2007 -- CYPRESS, CALIF. -- Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has announced former Vice President of Parts, Don Swearingen, will return to the company as Vice President of Fixed Operations, effective Tuesday, February 20.
Swearingen returns to MMNA after serving as Vice President of Parts Supply and Logistic for Kia Motors. In his new position, Swearingen will be responsible for MMNA's parts and service operations in the U.S, reporting to President & CEO Hiroshi Harunari.

"His extensive experience and strategic knowledge will be invaluable in supporting our continuing sales improvement with improvements in our fixed operations. His longtime association with MMNA and our dealers will allow him to make an immediate impact."
Prior to his brief tenure at Kia, Swearingen had supervised parts operations at MMNA for more than 16 years - including Director of Parts, beginning in October 1999, before being promoted to Vice President of Parts, in September 2004. He served in the latter capacity until his resignation in April of last year. The post has been vacant since then, with interim supervision provided by Senior Vice President of Sales Dan Kuhnert.
