Consolidated Buying Company Names Ryba to Head Automotive Group

WESTMONT, Ill.--Jonathon Lanphier, President and CEO of Consolidated Buying Company, LLC (CBC) has announced that Greg Ryba will assume the position of Vice President of the Automotive Group.

As the General Operations Manager for the Southwest Division of Ford Motor Company, Greg brings more than 17 years of experience in automotive marketing, operations and management and is eminently qualified to help us maximize our role in the automotive industry, Lanphier said. He will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic direction for the automotive group while strengthening relationships with additional supplier partners.

CBC serves the auto industry through two of its buying groups, CB Advantage and CB AutoAuction. More than 4,000 auto dealers, 1,500 repair shops and 350 auto auction facilities are members and enjoy vendor rebates provided by these two buying groups. These members are independent businesses that collectively service more than 90 million vehicles each year.

Ryba holds a degree in marketing from Central Michigan University. Upon graduation he began his career with Ford Motor Company where he held a variety of operations, sales and marketing management positions. Prior to joining CBC, Ryba was General Operations Manager of Fords Customer Service Divisions Southwest Market.
