2007 Chicago Auto Show February 6-8 Media Interview Opportunity: Continental Automotive Systems Puts Driving Intelligence Center Stage at McCormick Place

Continental Automotive Systems is in the driver's seat at this year's Chicago Auto Show. While there will be plenty of new cars and trucks on display, it is Continental's innovative technologies that make driving them safer, more comfortable and fun.

WHAT:

The global automotive supplier with 13.8 billion Euro in annual sales is showcasing its successful efforts to integrate active and passive safety systems, wireless and other "smart" technologies into the car; Continental's growing business presence in the Chicago area; and its commitment to the local community:

-- Continental's Safely There mobile interactive exhibit, housed in a
full-size semi-trailer on the show floor and complete with a 4-D movie
and Disney-like ride experience, allows visitors to experience
simulated crashes without Intelligent Vehicle Safety measures -- and
also avoid collisions with these advanced safety systems. For more
information on this exhibit, visit www.safelythere.com.
-- The company's active-passive safety integration automobile and its
wireless research and development vehicle featuring the very latest
Continental Telematics technologies let visitors experience the future
      of connectivity and convenience.
-- Hundreds of employees from Continental's Deer Park and Northbrook
facilities, local Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) members, and
representatives from 1,400 Chicago-based charities are participating
in a special MapHunt game at the show; prizes and charitable donations
      will be awarded.
-- The Continental exhibit also is the focal point of a recruiting
campaign to introduce local engineering students and graduates to
Continental and its many career opportunities.
-- A print, radio and outdoor advertising effort is underway in Chicago,
designed to build awareness of Continental as a leading employer in
the area and automotive industry innovator.

  WHO:

Mr. Bill Kozyra, Continental Automotive Systems North America president and CEO, and his top engineers are available to discuss the following:

-- The critical role of active safety systems found on today's cars and
trucks, designed to keep vehicles from crashing in the first place, as
well as technologies that will be available in the near future.
-- Continental's leadership role in integrating both active and passive
safety technologies in vehicles to provide optimum occupant
      protection.
-- On-camera demonstrations of the driving simulator and other exhibits
found on board the Safely There truck and special demo vehicles.
-- Current production models on the show floor that contain Continental
active safety and Telematics systems, and how they work together in
      real-world driving.
-- Continental's growing presence in Chicago and its various local
      community outreach activities; and,
-- The company's position as a leading automotive supplier in North
America and need to hire 600 engineers worldwide, including at least
50 in the Chicago area over the next year.

  WHEN:

Mr. Kozyra and his team are available February 6-8 in Chicago, prior to and during the media preview days at the Auto Show. Opportunities to visit the Safely There truck with on-camera interviews and demonstrations during the public show also can be planned.
