Odyne Corp CEO Speaking at Influential Seminars in Metropolitan New York- Alternative Fuels in the Carting Industry

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--Odyne Corporation (OTCBB: ODYC) CEO Roger M. Slotkin was a featured speaker at the kickoff event of the Greater Long Island Clean Cities 2007 Seminar Series, Alternative Fuels in the Carting Industry. Building on Odynes influence and experience in the use of hybrid drive-train technology for municipal waste and recycling vehicles from company projects in California and New York, Mr. Slotkin addressed local officials, carting industry executives, and environmental advocates on potential project applications.

Various vehicles were on display at the event, hosted by the Town of Huntington, including a municipal waste truck upfitted with Odynes hybrid electric technology for the Town of Hempstead. Also addressing those in attendance were local officials, including program managers for the largest compressed natural gas refuse fleet on the East Coast, the Town of Smithtown, which recently passed requirements mandating clean fuel refuse trucks for its entire fleet, and the Town of Brookhaven, another leader in clean, domestic fuel usage.

The event was well attended, and proved to be one of the most successful seminars held by the Clean Cities, a local clean fuel transportation advocacy group. Both the attendance and interest exceeded our greatest expectations, and we made significant inroads into this untapped market for alternative fuels, said GLICCC program Executive Director Andria Adler. Following this event, Mr. Slotkin addressed local sanitation officials and presented an overview of the use of hybrid technology at a meeting of the Long Island Sanitation Officials Association (LISOA). LISOA members have become well versed in clean fuel transportation issues through their multi-year association with the Greater Long Island Clean Cities Coalition. It is hoped that 2007 will continue the significant strides already made in the deployment of clean-fueled sanitation vehicles. Odynes fuel agnostic hybrid electric vehicle system allows the company to meet municipalities needs through flexibility of fuel and vehicle choices. The companys technology can be applied to either new or existing vehicles. Significant benefits of the hybrid system include reduced fuel and maintenance costs, reduced pollution and lessening the use of foreign fuel sources.

Odynes CEO, Roger M. Slotkin remarked to both audiences: Odynes technology offers a compelling alternative for fleet managers, both private and public, to conventional fuels that will offer the fleet manager significant improvements in operating efficiency, reductions in fuel consumption, reductions in operating costs (such as brake and engine maintenance) and very significant improvements in the reduction of emissions. This technology, which is available NOW, not at some indeterminate future date, also contributes to a reduced dependence on foreign oil.

The company is expected to address a similar audience in New York City at a presentation on plug-in hybrid electric vehicles held in conjunction with Nassau Suffolk Truck of Hauppauge, New York.

Environmental concerns around the globe have created opportunity for businesses and investors with vision. The ongoing efforts to clean up sanitation fleets help bring these issues to the forefront for serious discussion and Odyne is pleased to be a part of this important initiative. With its proprietary battery management technology, unique systems architecture and a modular/scaleable configuration, Odyne is a cost-effective provider of cutting-edge solutions in this growing industry.
