Salvador Diaz-Verson Rejoins Aura Systems Board

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--Aura Systems, Inc. (Pink Sheets:AUSI) announced that Salvador Diaz-Verson has been unanimously appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Diaz-Verson had previously served as a director of the Company from 1997 to 2005. We are thrilled to have a man of Mr. Diaz-Versons stature come on our board, especially one so familiar with the company, said Mr. Melvin Gagerman, Auras CEO.

Mr. Diaz-Verson has a long and distinguished career in business and finance. He was the youngest officer of a large corporation serving as Chief Investment Officer and President of American Family Life (AFLAC) where he turned a $45 Million portfolio into $8.2 Billion.

After leaving AFLAC, he formed Diaz-Verson Capital, LLC, one of the few Hispanic owned firms nationwide at the time. In 1997 he created the Diaz-Verson Americas Fund that provided a mutual fund for western hemispheric opportunities that thrived when NAFTA came into effect. He founded United Americas Bank, devoted to serving the Hispanic immigrants and their families, a market left not serviced by mainstream banks.

He has served on a number of boards as well as government and charitable advisory groups. He founded and was on the board of Salvaco, an R&D company that holds numerous patents for consumer goods as well as Aura Systems and Clemente Capital. Both Presidents Bush and Clinton appointed him to the Christopher Columbus Fellowship Foundation. Previously he had won recognition for his work in fighting drug use in founding Business Against Drugs and Crime Stoppers. Both President Ronald Reagan and Governor Zell Miller recognized these efforts. Currently, Mr. Diaz-Verson is building a $60 million dollar sports complex in Sarasota to house his ECHL Hockey team, the Swords, as well as other headliner entertainment.

Aura Systems, Inc. is in the business of manufacture and sale of its mobile power system, the AuraGen. The AuraGen is used on land-based vehicles in both military and industrial sectors. AuraGens have been deployed in combat service support in both Iraq and Afghanistan operations. Industrial uses of the AuraGen include Telecommunications, Oil and Gas, Emergency Services, Municipal and State Government services, amongst others.
