With BlackJack Racing For Daytona
WESTBY, Wisconsin (January 23, 2007) - - BlackJack Racing is eager to get
their sophomore season underway in the ARCA RE/MAX Series at Daytona next
month. However, a problem the team faced in 2006 is still haunting them heading
into the season opener which is just under three weeks away, a primary sponsor.
Despite no secured backing for much of the 2006 season, BlackJack Racing
with rookie driver Dexter Bean overcame the odds, traveled long days and nights
and cut every possible corner imaginable to record a stellar 12th place
championship effort competing in 22 ARCA RE/MAX Series events netting two
top-fives and five top-10s including career bests of fourth at Pocono Raceway (July)
and Chicagoland Speedway (September).
In fact, the last four races of the season, BlackJack Racing roared to life
with one top-five, one pole and three top-10 finishes just missing four
consecutive top-10s in a row with a 11th at Salem Speedway after claiming the pole
at one of ARCA’s most demanding short tracks.
Now, with all eyes focused on the 55th season for the ARCA RE/MAX Series,
BlackJack Racing opens their car up to any potential organizations who are
interested in trying the market of Motorsports as advisement, while also feeling
the power of Daytona International Speedway and the force of the ARCA RE/MAX
Series as an extra bonus.
“We’re looking and praying for a sponsor,?? said driver Dexter Bean. “This
team really came on strong late last year and we would really like to keep
that momentum going, but we need some extra financial strength to take this
team to the next level.??
The Wisconsin native continued, “We did a lot last year with very little, we
probably spent a quarter of what some of the more funded teams in the series
had in their budget. We have everything in place to make a sponsor a good
home, we just need a sponsor.??
Team owner David Bean states the team has several different packages
available to interested parties. “BlackJack Racing has a lot of promise for Daytona,
but we can’t make it a reality without some help. We have many different
levels of sponsorship packages available for an attractive cost. We’re not in
this business to get rich or get out ahead; we’re here to race and make our
sponsors proud.??
Currently, BlackJack Racing has several associate sponsors from their state
of Wisconsin helping with some of the minimal expenses, but the addition of a
strong organization will allow the team to prepare to make a run for the
championship in 2007.
Heading into the 2007 season, driver Dexter Bean has 26 ARCA RE/MAX Series
starts to his credit with two-top fives finishes and seven top-10 efforts. He
holds a career best finish of fourth at Pocono Raceway (July 2006) and
Chicagoland Speedway (September 2006). He owns the 2006 Pork pole award at Salem
Speedway (September) while hoisting a career-best superspeedway time trials
effort of fourth at Pocono Raceway (June 2006). Bean also has controlled the
ARCA field for 84 laps in three races.
“Wouldn’t it be nice to end up in victory lane with a new sponsor and
leading the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series point standings? It can happen,?? concluded
Dexter Bean.
