Alcoa Defense Wins AM General Contract to Supply Lightweight, Strong Aluminum Armor Plate

NEW YORK--Alcoa Defense announced today that it has won a contract with AM General to supply high performance, lightweight aluminum armor alloys for use on High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (Humvee) for deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan. The one-year contract begins this month.
