2007 Performance World Custom Car & Truck Show
Performance World Custom Car & Truck Show and Funkmaster Flex Return to
Toronto this March
Tuesday, January 9, 2007 (Toronto) - Performance World Custom Car &
Truck Show is revving its engines in anticipation of the 2007 edition of
Toronto largest custom car and truck show. Funkmaster Flex is once again
headlining the event, as he was so popular with last year's visitors.
The hardcore show for car enthusiasts rides into the International
Centre (6900 Airport Road) from March 9-11, 2007 with custom cars and
trucks competing for $50,000 in cash and awards. The event boasts more
than 600 top show cars and trucks and over 250 exhibitors, covering
350,000 square feet.
"Once again, we have a star-studded line-up of feature cars," says
Brenda Brough, Show Manager. "These include a '51 Merc, '63 Corvette, a
Foose-designed '69 Camaro, '51 Olds and a '56 Chev. Also renowned
pin-striper Herb Martinez will be coming all the way from California to
meet visitors to the Performance World Show," she adds.
Catch Funkmaster Flex, host of Spike TV's "Ride with Funkmaster Flex,"
as he headlines Performance World 2007. Every week Flex's show takes
test drives with the hottest celebs, musicians and athletes, while he
drives alongside racing superstars and tours the most popular car shows
in the country. Flex customizes cars and show s cutting edge parts from
engines to audio systems. Funkmaster Flex's love affair with automobiles
is no on-air gimmick. He is a true custom car fanatic so much so The New
York Times recently dubbed him the "evangelist of hip hop car culture."
He founded Team Baurtwell, the highest profile custom-car club around
with members like Shaquille O'Neil, and musicians Busta Rhymes, Missy
Elliot and Faith Evans. His name is synonymous with taste-making muscle
and for more than a decade now, Funkmaster Flex has reigned as America's
No. 1 radio personality, reaching more than two million listeners a
week.
