Yazaki to Produce Electrical Assemblies and Systems for 2009 Ford Fusion Hybrid

CANTON, Mich., Jan. 8, 2007 -- Yazaki North America, Inc. (Yazaki), a leading supplier of vehicle power and data solutions to the automotive industry, announced today it will design, develop and manufacture the high voltage (HV) connection system and wiring for the 2009 Ford Fusion Hybrid.

With nearly 15 years of knowledge in hybrid technology, Yazaki is working collaboratively with Ford for a long term development of HV connection systems and reduction of system cost and wait.

Yazaki has a history of supplying to acclaimed Ford vehicles, including the 2006 Ford Fusion, and the Ford Escape Hybrid, which was crowned North American Truck Of The Year in 2005. Yazaki also supplied the complete Electrical Distribution System (EDS) for the Ford F150, which was crowned North American Truck of the Year in 2004.
