Volvo Group Hybrid Technology for Heavy-Duty Vehicles Briefing and Press Event
--The Volvo Group, a world leader in the development of heavy-duty hybrid technology, is pleased to announce its hybrid program and the emerging benefits and applications of these exciting advances, both globally and in North America during a two-day press event January 11-12, 2007.

PRESENTATION:
2:00pm-3:00pm
Leif Johansson, President of AB Volvo and CEO of the Volvo Group, will
present a unique hybrid concept for heavy vehicles and discuss the
need and possibilities for alternative drivelines from a business
perspective. Volvo Group's Technical Director, Lars-Göran Moberg, will
outline technical specifications and features of the new hybrid
concept. Paul Vikner, President and CEO of Mack Trucks, Inc., will
discuss the customer benefits of the technology.
QUESTION AND ANSWER:

Members of the press will be given an opportunity to ask questions of
the panelists about the hybrid technology being presented.
EXHIBITION:
3:30pm-4:00pm
Following the briefing, guests will be given the opportunity to review
a Volvo Group hybrid powertrain display and a hybrid Mack Granite Axle
Back model dump truck being put into to service by the United States
Air Force. Immediately following the event, refreshments will be
served in the House of Sweden exhibit hall, where guests will get a
sneak preview of a Swedish "Cars & Transportation" exhibit.
