AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE Gets Top Honors from 2006 International Automotive Media Competition

ANN ARBOR, Mich.--AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE, Americas leading automotive lifestyle publication (www.automobilemag.com) and part of PRIMEDIAs Consumer Automotive Group, won top honors at the 16th International Automotive Media Competition (IAMC), an annual program recognizing and encouraging excellence in automotive journalism. This year, AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE won more awards than any other publication in the competition by taking home 13 medals.

Jean Jennings, president of AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE, won the Best of 2006 award for her feature story published in the June 2006 issue, Veyron in the USA. The cover story won the Best of Magazines category and earned a Gold Medal in the Road Test category.

Editorial entries had to meet a minimum standard to qualify for their respective awards, which are judged by peers on a point scale. For example, Gold medal entries earned between 97-100 points in the competition. The International Automotive Media Competition is organized by the International Society for Vehicle Preservation, which has coordinated the award presentations for well over a decade.
