Hooverspeed Announces Six Car Effort for 2007 Mazda MX-5 Cup

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (Jan. 4, 2006) - Hooverspeed, the leading west
coast builder of Spec Miata race cars, is proud to announce a six car
effort for the 2007 SCCA SIRIUS Satellite Radio Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented
by Hankook. Led by team principal Jason Hoover and managed by 17-year
racing veteran Tony Silva, Hooverspeed has partnered with a championship
winning team of drivers to create what is sure to be a strong force in
the series.

Hooverspeed boasts a consistent foundation of success in the SCCA club
racing arena, having worked with some of the best drivers in the country
to prepare dominating race machines. In the San Francisco Region SCCA
Spec Miata series, widely regarded as some of the most competitive
racing in the nation, Hooverspeed's drivers accounted for more than half
of the top 10, including the overall points champion. At the 2006 SCCA
National Championship Runoffs, two of the three podium spots were
occupied by Hooverspeed machines. Looking to expand on that success,
Hooverspeed is poised to bring the same level of domination to SCCA Pro
Racing.

Any successful racing team starts with a great car builder, but finishes
with excellent drivers. To that end, Hooverspeed has put together a
stellar team lineup of successful race pilots for the MX-5 Cup effort.
