Revell Monogram Ready for Winners Circle With Launch of RPMz(TM) Radio Controlled Vehicles

NASCAR Product Line Features Graphics by Sam Bass

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Jan. 3 -- Revell Monogram today announced the launch of RPMz(TM), the ultimate radio controlled (R/C) racing system that allows racers to customize, race, modify and race -- over and over again. By changing a variety of gears, motors, suspension parts, tires and operating characteristics with digital electronics, the user can modify the performance of the vehicle to suit individual racing needs.

Known for its creation of authentic model kits, the Revell brand delivers to the R/C market the same attention to detail and quality found in its plastic model kits. "RPMz is a strategic move to expand and diversify Revell's product and distribution base," said Mike Brezette, Revell marketing vice president. "The hobby-class R/C market is estimated at $600 million in retail dollars and we believe the Revell brand provides the credibility to bring hobby-class precision products to the mass and hobby retailers."

With an exclusive NASCAR license, Revell's RPMz Monte Carlo(TM) and Taurus graphics are designed by award-winning NASCAR designer and artist Sam Bass. "NASCAR fans will forget they are racing a miniature machine when controlling RPMz," said Sam Bass, NASCAR artist. "In designing the graphics for these cars, I created realistic paint schemes and details."

Revell's RPMz NASCAR vehicles will be available at mass retailers and hobby stores beginning March 2007. The suggested price for these authentic, customizable R/C vehicles will range from $69.99 to $79.99. RPMz will also be offered with unique custom graphics on a Mustang GT and the new Dodge Challenger beginning June 2007.
