Five-Day Event to Feature Alternative Fuel and Advanced Technologies, Celebrities, Concepts and Model Introductions

In keeping with this year's theme, Zetsche's presentation will address the latest environmental and technological advances, as well as ongoing challenges and opportunities in the global auto industry. Prior to his current position, Zetsche served as CEO and President of the Chrysler Group from 2000 to 2005. He has been a member of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler AG since 1998, having begun his career in the research department of Daimler-Benz AG in 1976.
International Media Day will culminate with The Washington Auto Show Congressional Gala from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., gathering elected officials, industry VIPs and local civic leaders for the benefit of area health and children's charities. The 2007 Washington Auto Show: "Presenting Advanced Technologies," Jan. 24 - 28, will showcase over 700 vehicles from more than 42 domestic and import manufacturers.
