GOTHENBURG - January 2, 2007: Every year, tens of thousands of children are injured in traffic accidents throughout Europe, in most cases because they are not strapped into the correct safety equipment. The new EU Child Safety Protection laws call for all children who are shorter than 135 cm to sit belted into a children's car seat. For Volvo, child safety has always been a major focus, and its safety engineers and designers are consistently looking into implementing new safety features and measures to ensure the safe transportation of child and adults alike.
