WHO:   9th Annual Michigan International Auto Show, February 1-4, 2007

 

WHERE:   DeVos Place in Downtown Grand Rapids. 303 Monroe St NE  

 

WHAT:   The show to beat all shows at DeVos Place, with wall-to-wall carpet
and manufacturers from around the world setting up their finest traveling
displays. The greatest annual opportunity for the public to view their "next
new car" with more than 300 new vehicles on display - sedans, vans, SUVs,
trucks, hybrids and sports cards - and factory representatives from 36
different manufacturers. Concept Cars and pre-production models give a
glimpse into the future.

            Friday, February 2          11:00am - 10:00pm

            Saturday, February 3      10:00am - 10:00pm

            Sunday, February 4        10:00am - 6:00pm

 

CHARITY GALA KICK-OFF & SILENT AUCTION:   Wednesday, January 31 from
6:30-10pm. A special VIP preview of the Auto Show, broadcast live on WOOD
TV8 and WOTV4. $125 per ticket benefits the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital
Foundation. A silent auction will feature a selection of autographed
memorabilia, travel packages and other unique items. Clear Channel Radio
sponsors a special performance by Bob Zany and Drew Hastings - featured
comedians from the nationally-syndicated Bob & Tom radio show. 

 

SPECIAL FEATURES:   

*	The famed "Million Dollar Motorway" features more cars than ever,
including a $2.1 million Maserati Mc 12 Supercar.
*	The Gilmore Car Museum returns with its popular display of antique
and classic cars including a 1899 Locomobile (the first car in Kalamazoo)
and a 1982 DeLorean.
*	NASCAR Driver Matt Kenseth will make an appearance on Friday,
February 2 from 4-6pm in the Grand Gallery.
*	Cogs the Robot returns, along with the Micro Reality Race Cars and
the Game Room.
*	Register to win an Ultimate Garage Makeover from Garage Werks.
*	Register to win one of several new car leases from GM and the Grand
Rapids Press or a Hummer H3 from Clear Channel Radio.

 

PRICES:   $9 adults, $4 children aged 6 to 14.  Kids 5 and under are
admitted free.
