December 19, 2007 – Keswick, Ontario: Anne Arnold, Manager of Reid Racing, is pleased to announce the team will be working closely with Shockwave Karting based out of Arvada, Colorado starting with the Florida Winter Tour. The Ontario-based team’s driver, Reid Arnold will compete in Mini Max on a Shockwave chassis and receive support from Doug Welch and his crew.

Following another successful season on the Ontario circuit, Reid Racing was looking to expand its efforts in select series around the United States. “Our focus for 2007 is to get into a wider range of competitive classes,?? noted Ms. Arnold, “and we wanted to go into it with a team that has vast experience in this market.?? Reid Racing conducted tests over the last few months and decided to work closely with Welch and his team.

Eleven-year old Reid just missed two regional championships this past year, but not for want of effort. The Keswick, Ontario native competed in a total of sixty-one races with incredible results. Despite a few disappointments along the way, Reid achieved 59 top-five finishes including 48 podium appearances. Among them were 18 first, 21 second and 9 third-place results. He would win a club championship in F1-K Cadet. These results do not include Reid’s races in the Florida Winter Tour ‘06 where he finished 9th overall racing Mini Max in his first international series.

Reid also made his first appearance at the ASN Canadian Nationals in Edmonton, AB. In Canada Junior Light (4-cycle Honda), Reid would win two heat races, and place second in the third heat race, scoring the best score for the pole position. After a tough battle in the final, come home fourth, just 3/1000ths out of third place.

Reid is looking forward to a successful run in Mini Max with Shockwave during Florida Winter Tour ‘07.
