STAMFORD, Conn.--Clean Diesel International, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (EBB: CDTI & AIM: CDT/CDTS), developer of technological solutions to reduce harmful engine emissions, is pleased to announce today the win of its first UK commercial fleet contract for Platinum Plus® DFX with Burgoynes (Lyonshall) Limited. Burgoynes is a medium-sized road haulage company operating heavy goods vehicles in the UK.

Burgoynes (Lyonshall) Limited is Clean Diesels first UK customer for Platinum Plus DFX and will apply its Platinum Plus across Burgoynes fleet.

The contract win follows positive results from Clean Diesels ongoing UK fleet trials demonstrating that significant fiscal savings can be achieved irrespective of fleet size. Clean Diesels fuel borne catalyst for fuel economy demonstrates an average fuel economy saving of 5%.

Clean Diesel is currently running trials with small, medium and large fleets in the UK, and is involved in several UK programs to demonstrate lowest cost emission reduction in preparation for the introduction of Londons low emission zone in 2008 thereby enabling biodiesel usage across the country.

Jonathan Percy, Fleet Engineer, of Burgoynes comments: We are delighted to have entered into an agreement with Clean Diesel which was largely based upon the successful trials and the impressive benefits that Platinum Plus delivers in terms of fuel economy and emission reductions.

Tim Rogers, Vice President International of Clean Diesel and Managing Director of Clean Diesel International, LLC, adds: We are pleased that our trials have demonstrated the benefits of Clean Diesels products as well as their excellent performance for fleets. The contract win proves the increasing demand for our products and we look forward to working with the road transport industry to develop these opportunities."
