The ten-day festival takes off with a dazzling night glow at the opening ceremony of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2006 on December 20th at the Global Village. "The Dubai Balloon Festival is a pioneering effort of sorts in the region and supporting it will add value to our brand. We see this as an excellent opportunity to extend the brand mileage and visibility of ETA Star. Especially since the Balloon Festival is being held as a part of the highly-awaited Dubai Shopping Festival, we can be assured of outstanding visitor turnout for the event," said Abid A. An estimated 75,000 visitors are expected to turn up on each day of the Balloon Festival, which is the first hot air balloon festival to be held in the Middle East and the largest outside the USA. Around 75 colourful balloons from around the world will be showcased at the Balloon Festival. Two mass flights will be held at 7 am and 3.30 pm at the Global Village on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of December and the following week on 28th, 29th and 30th December. Through its involvement in the Dubai Balloon Festival, ETA Star will look to reinforce its position as one of the largest property developers in the region.
