Nissan Donates $10,000 and Continues Area Dealer Toy Drive for DC Chapter of Toys for Tots
WASHINGTON--In coordination with six-week long toy drive at 23 local area Nissan dealers, Nissan North America’s Mid-Atlantic Region today presented a $10,000 donation to the Washington DC Chapter of Toys for Tots. The check was presented during Mix 107.3’s Jack Diamond Morning Show which broadcasted live from the Reston Town Center. Nissan hopes to collect thousands of toys from the drop-off boxes placed at the dealerships.
“During the holiday season we try to work with businesses across the country to collect and deliver toys as well as bring a message of hope to needy children. Working with Nissan and their area dealers will help us bring smiles to more local children,” said Staff Sergeant Johnny Noble of Toys for Tots of the District of Columbia, who was on hand to receive the donation.
Nissan’s pledge in the Mid-Atlantic region is part of a Nissan’s global commitment to promote education, humanitarian aid and work towards helping protect the environment.
“Nissan believes it is important to help the communities where we do business and Toys for Tots has always been a great organization to support, especially during the holiday season,” said Chris Elliott, Nissan’s regional marketing manager. “We are proud that we are not only able to present monetary funds but that we are able to get our dealers, who are community leaders, involved collecting toys around the DC Metro area.”
