WIX Filters Donates $75,000 to Victory Junction Gang Camp

WIX Donation Fueled by Sales of 1969 Torino Talladega Die Cast Collectible

RANDLEMAN, N.C. (Dec. 14, 2006) - WIX Filtration Corp. donated $75,000 to Victory Junction Gang Camp today, continuing its support for the Petty family's Camp for chronically and seriously ill children.

"Everyone at the camp is extremely thankful for the $75,000 donation that WIX has made," said Pattie Petty, wife of NASCAR driver Kyle Petty and co-founder of Victory Junction. "This money will play a vital part in helping send more kids to camp, where they will be able to have life-changing camping experiences."

Founded by the Pettys in honor of their late son Adam, Victory Junction Gang Camp provides camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, in a safe and medically sound environment, and free of charge to children and their families. WIX Filters began its commitment to the Victory Junction Gang Camp in 2005 with a donation of a year's supply of oil, air and fuel filters for the Camp's vehicles and maintenance equipment.

"WIX is proud to support the Victory Junction Gang Camp and the important work they do for children who have serious illnesses," said Bruce Johnston, brand manager for WIX Filters. "We are pleased to present this check on behalf of WIX and its customers, who partnered with us on our Route WIX Die Cast Collectible Promotion and fundraising efforts."

WIX Filters' $75,000 donation is funded by proceeds from the promotional sale of 1969 Ford Torino Talladega die cast collectibles. $1.50 from the sale of each collectible is being donated to the Camp on behalf of WIX Filters and each participating WIX Filters distributor. The first NASCAR-licensed die cast collectible to be offered through the Route WIX Collectible Promotion and the only die cast replica ever produced to celebrate Richard Petty's 100th NASCAR win, the 1969 Ford Torino Talladega holds special significance to WIX as a reflection of the time when Petty used WIX filters on his race car and was a spokesperson for WIX.

"Collaborating with the Pettys for WIX's Ford Torino Talladega die cast collectible promotion provided us with a unique way to raise funds and awareness for the Victory Junction Gang Camp," said Johnston.

Victory Junction Gang Camp is solely supported by contributions and donations from corporations, individuals and foundations. Located in Randleman, N.C., on land donated by Richard Petty and his wife, Lynda, the Camp is the only year-round multi-disease facility of its kind in the Carolinas and Virginia.
