Anthony Hebron Named Senior VP, Corporate Relations, at Battelle

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 13, 2006 -- Anthony Hebron, a professional communicator with experience at some of the country's premier brand-name companies, is joining Battelle as Senior Vice President, Corporate Relations. Hebron assumes his new position Jan. 15, 2007. He comes to Battelle from Limited Brands, Inc., where he has served as Vice President of External Communications for seven years.

"Battelle has grown substantially in the past 10 years, nearly doubling in size and expanding to many new regions across the country and most recently into Asia," said Battelle President and CEO Carl Kohrt. "It is essential that we effectively communicate our vision, purpose, and impact to our staff and our customers. Anthony brings a breadth of experience that will allow him to powerfully frame and deliver those messages while leading our communications, government relations, and community relations activities."

Hebron's 16-year career as a corporate branding and communications professional also includes stops at Dow Chemical Co. and Kellogg Company. He has extensive experience in worldwide nutrition marketing communications and led the opening of new facilities in countries such as China. Before moving into corporate communications earlier in his career, Hebron was an award- winning journalist at the Memphis Commercial Appeal and the State Journal- Register in Springfield, Ill.

Hebron is active in a number of Central Ohio initiatives. He serves on the boards of the Columbus Metropolitan Club and several youth organizations. He and his wife, Sherry, and son, Anthony, live in Westerville.
