EPA Policy and Technology Committee Meets on Watershed Management, Commercialization of Biofuels

(Washington, D.C. - Dec. 13, 2006) The National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology (NACEPT), an independent advisory committee, will meet on future recommendations to EPA on various issues, including: (1) the watershed approach to water pollution; and (2) sustainable development and commercialization of biofuels.
NACEPT advises the EPA Administrator on a broad range of environmental policy, technology and management issues. Council members include representatives from academia, industry, non-governmental organizations, and state, local, and tribal governments. The Web site address is: http://www.epa.gov/ocem/nacept
*WHAT: *NACEPT will hold a public meeting to discuss sustainable water infrastructure, environmental stewardship, cooperative conservation, energy and the environment, environmental technology, and environmental indicators.
