Rolls-Royce Receives Embraer Supplier of the Year Award
CHANTILLY, Va., Dec. 12, 2006 -- Rolls-Royce has been recognized as Embraer's 2006 Supplier of the Year for mechanical systems. The award was based on delivery performance, quality, operator customer satisfaction and flexibility in dealing with Embraer.
Rolls-Royce AE3007A engines power more than 1,000 Embraer aircraft worldwide, as the exclusive engine for all 30 to 50-seat Embraer regional jets and the Embraer Legacy 600 business jet.
The award was presented to Rolls-Royce during Embraer's annual Partners and Suppliers Conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil on November 28, with some 130 suppliers in attendance.

Entering service in 1997 with Embraer, the AE 3007A engine powers 20 variants of the Embraer ERJ 145, ERJ 140 and ERJ 135 regional jets, the Embraer Legacy 600 corporate aircraft and ERJ-145MP/RS/AEW variants.

The AE 3007 engine, produced in Indianapolis, Indiana, is designed to meet the stringent requirements of corporate, regional airline and military customers and maintains excellent reliability and performance while meeting strict noise and emissions limits required of tomorrow's fleet. The engine shares the same high-pressure core with the AE 2100 turboprop and AE 1007 turboshaft engines. 2. There are more than 1200 AE 3007-powered regional airline, military and corporate jet aircraft in service with nearly 25 million flying hours in the engine's 10-year history. 3.
