CHICAGO, Dec. 6, 2006 -- NAVTEQ , a leading global provider of digital map data for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, has been chosen by Manning NavComp, Inc., a premiere vehicle tracking software and integration company, to provide NAVTEQ map data of Mexico for its RASTRAC(R) product line.
RASTRAC is designed to be flexible and scalable, making it an ideal vehicle tracking solution for fleets of all sizes. NAVTEQ's navigable database of Mexico covers 234,398 miles (377,227 kilometers) and provides street network data for more than 3,000 urban and suburban towns. Over 70% of the total population is covered in NAVTEQ's map data, which provides detailed points of interest such as toll gates, gas stations and rest stops as well as other relevant location information like neighborhood and postal code boundaries.
