CFO Stadler Expected to Become Audi's New CEO

Washington DC December 5, 2006; The AIADA newsletter reported that Audi's Chief Financial Officer Rupert Stadler is expected to be named the automaker's new CEO at a supervisory board meeting on Dec. 6, said two people familiar with the situation. The Wall Street Journal also quotes one of those people as disclosing that Jochem Heizmann, Audi's executive board member responsible for production, will move with Audi's current CEO Martin Winterkorn to Volkswagen AG. Both Stadler and Heizmann were in the running to replace Winterkorn.
