ADS Logistics Awarded Contract forTransportation Management Services at MISA Metals, Inc.
HOMEWOOD, Ill.--ADS Logistics, LLC (ADS), the leading North American and only national provider of integrated supply chain solutions for the metals industry announced today it has been selected by MISA Metals, Inc., (MMI) to provide transportation management services.
ADS on-site personnel manage MMI's inbound and outbound transportation requirements utilizing the transportation management system within LoMaS®, ADS' supply chain management technology solution. Services include load tender, load building, automated dispatch, scheduling, and track and trace of the load. LoMaS®' extensive data capture and report capabilities provides MMI visibility to product information beyond their shipping and receiving docks, because it is a beyond-the-gate system. Additionally, ADS on-site staff is responsible for transportation program administration including claims management, freight payables, and carrier management inclusive of safety compliance and insurance.

ADS is a truckload carrier and most LoMaS® transportation management contracts are for truckload volumes. MMI operations are somewhat different, requiring the use of LoMaS®' load aggregation capabilities for their LTL environment to ensure that loads are fully optimized.

The program which commenced at the MMI's Middletown facility will be expanded to encompass operations at MMI's Vonore and Lawrenceburg, Tennessee locations.
