Mobile Location-Based Services Leader, Inilex, Acquires Strategic Partner, Advantra International
CHANDLER, Ariz.--Inilex, a leading provider of mobile location-based services, today announces their acquisition of Advantra International, the world's leading developer and manufacturer of affordable data messaging devices. Advantra also offers total telemetry solutions for ReFLEX™ radio modems and GSM/GPSR systems.
Inilex and Advantra had been developing joint products as strategic partners for two years and decided that an acquisition would be a positive strategic move for both companies. Inilex products currently allow consumers the capability of easily monitoring their mobile assets. Features include: vehicle tracking on demand, motion detection, and speed monitoring, as well as other conveniences such as door lock and unlock, and auto start, all of which can be sent to the user’s email or cell phone.
“We realized that we had a tremendous opportunity to increase our market share and engineering prowess,” said Scott Ferguson, CEO of Inilex. “Customers will gain more sophisticated product offerings that are more reliable and updated more frequently.”
The most unusual feature that Inilex offers is the “QuickFence™.” The QuickFence gives the customer the ability to secure their vehicle wherever it’s parked using their cell phone. The Inilex system then locates the new position of the vehicle and sets a virtual fence around it. If the vehicle moves outside the QuickFence, the customer can be notified via text message on their cell phone and can relay the exact day, time, speed and direction to the police, who recognize that as a “crime in progress.” This is a “priority one” crime, in other words, it is a higher priority for the police to respond than simply reporting a vehicle theft which they consider a “crime committed.”
Unlike other vehicle recovery systems, Inilex offers an innovative GPS system that works anywhere in the country where there is national two-way digital messaging. The company has already been instrumental in helping clients recover stolen vehicles, including a recovery in Mexico.
Advantra also offers total telemetry solutions on ReFLEX™ radio modems which offer digital two-way messaging as well as GSM and GPRS devices.
“We are very excited about the benefits to our business from this merger,” said Larry Appleby, aftermarket manager for the LUND Cadillac Group. “We have been using Inilex products in our vehicles since the company’s inception. The Inilex system has been a tremendous help in our monitoring operations and we expect great things from this merger of these two reliable companies.”
