American Suzuki Sales Increase 12 Percent in November; Year-to-Date Sales up 24 Percent

BREA, Calif.--American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) today announced sales of 6,395 units in November – an increase of 12 percent over November 2005. Year-to-date sales total 93,673 units, up 24 percent over the previous year.
Suzuki’s monthly increase in November continues the company’s recent overall sales momentum. In 2005, ASMC enjoyed the best sales year in its 21-year history, selling 82,101 vehicles. American Suzuki has already eclipsed its own annual sales record and remains on pace to sell more than 100,000 automobiles in the U.S. this year.
ASMC’s November sales increase was led by the sales of its Grand Vitara, which sold 1,815 units, an impressive 28 percent increase over last year’s numbers. The top-selling Forenza family of vehicles also contributed to November’s increase, with 3,009 units sold in November.
“American Suzuki has already broken its all-time annual sales record, and we look forward to closing this year with the same momentum and achieving even greater levels of success next year,” said Koichi Suzuki, president of American Suzuki’s Automotive Operations. “Our current and future success is due to the popularity of the Grand Vitara and the Forenza, and increasing sales of the all-new SX4 crossover.”
