XM Satellite Radio’s Hot Import Nights Makes One of Final 2006 Stops in Honolulu
IRVINE, Calif.--XM Satellite Radio’s Hot Import Nights (HIN) hits Honolulu as its last show before the season finale in Miami. HIN, the nation’s largest lifestyle custom car show, will pack the Blaisdell Convention Center Dec. 9, 5 p.m. to midnight with special model appearances, a performance from DJ Miss Lisa and hundreds of the nation’s hottest cars.
One of the two final Miss HIN 2007 contestants will be chosen in Honolulu in the Queen of the Scene competition, hosted by HIN International Spokesmodel Ursula Mayes. Ursula, Miss HIN 2005, can be seen elsewhere this year as one of Maxim’s “Sexiest 100” and on the new NBC program, “Deal or No Deal.” All city finalists will compete in Miami Dec. 16 to crown the next Miss HIN. Fellow “Deal or No Deal” model and Hawaiian native Megan Abrigo will also make an appearance at the Honolulu event.
On the Mazda stage, DJ, Playboy Playmate and international model Miss Lisa will turn up the heat with her eclectic mix of hip hop and electric music. HIN’s Glo-Go dancers will show off their go-go skills against Honolulu’s best dancers in the new Rockstar Energy Drink National Glo-Go Dancer Competition, a city-to-city dance rivalry. On the XM Satellite Radio Stage, local club DJs and b-boy groups will compete for top accolades.
A special moment in the evening will allow show attendees to recognize guests from the U.S. Military—Soldiers who recently returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. HIN and its sponsors will welcome Soldiers participating in Operation Tribute to Freedom, a U.S. Military outreach program designed to honor those returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. The program is an opportunity for Americans to better understand and connect with their Soldiers, one story at a time. Soldiers will be recognized and honored on stage for their service.
