Registration Begins for the 2007 North American International Auto Show Automotive Education Day Featuring Female Racer Hillary Will
DETROIT, Nov. 28 -- Students are invited to participate in the 2007 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) Automotive Education Day. The third annual Automotive Education Day, presented by State Farm Insurance, will take place on Wed., Jan. 17, 2007 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cobo Center. Hillary Will of KB Racing LLC will serve as the featured speaker for thousands of students interested in automotive careers. School groups can register now at http://www.naias.com/aed2007.htm .

"Automotive Education Day offers a rare window into the automotive world. Featuring celebrities like Hillary Will and providing one-on-one conversations with many industry insiders, we hope to entice students to learn more about the variety of career paths available within this dynamic industry."
Thousands of students from various school groups throughout Southeast Michigan, surrounding states and Windsor, Ontario (Canada's border city) are expected to participate. During the opening remarks students and instructors will receive backpacks and prize give-a-ways. The 2007 NAIAS Automotive Education Day will feature an autographing session and a chance to talk with Hillary Will, driver of the KB Racing Top Fuel Dragster. In addition, Automotive Education Day will provide students in grades 8-12 with the opportunity to have informal discussions with industry experts about alternative fuel/technology, design, engineering and other diverse career opportunities. School groups will have the chance to visit the NAIAS show floor and lunch in the Cobo Arena Food Court.
Automotive Education Day 2006 attracted 5,139 students from 115 schools in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina and Canada. Participating companies from 2006 included DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, BMW, Subaru, Toyota, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. and Michelin. The same caliber of automotive participants is expected for 2007.
