Second Annual National Dealer Compliance and Profitability Expo
Arlington, TX -- The National Independent Automobile Dealer's Association announces the 2nd Annual National Dealer Compliance and Profitability Expo will be held on Monday, December 11, 2006, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET at the Columbus Fair Auto Auction in Columbus, Ohio. The entire event will be broadcast live on the NIADA.TV network and can be viewed at www.niada.tv. Last year's event drew 433 attendees in person and a viewing audience in excess of 10,000. With the outstanding content of this year's program, this year's event is sure to draw an even larger audience.
NIADA General Counsel and noted industry attorney Keith Whann will be our host for the day and moderate all of the panel discussions. The program will be co-hosted by D.J. Harrington and produced by NIADA's CEO Michael Linn. The panel discussions cover a wide range of topics, including: Marketing and Selling Vehicles on the Internet, Acquiring the Right Inventory for Your Dealership, 2007 and Beyond: What Does the Future Hold and Developing a Complete Lender Portfolio. You can expect panelists from AutoTrader.com, Cars.com, eBay Motors, Chase Vehicle Remarketing, Manheim, Microsoft, and Finance Express, to name a few. A complete schedule of events along with all panel participants is available at the end of this release.
This event was created by Mr. Whann and Mr. Linn to provide dealers and the automotive industry an opportunity to focus on increasing dealership compliance and improving overall profitability as they prepare for the new year. Also participating in this year's Expo will be 35 of the industry's top Vendors. "This is likely the most comprehensive one-day educational opportunity in the automotive industry during the entire year," said Mr. Linn. "Both the educational content and the collective wealth of knowledge possessed by the moderator and panelists are unsurpassed."
This year's event will also focus more on consumer issues. "Consumers lack reliable information about the industry and the car buying process," said Mr. Whann. "The number of questions I receive from consumers in my Car Counselor programs is rapidly increasing. Both Mike and I feel a responsibility individually and on behalf of the industry to help educate consumers. This is why I developed the Car Counselor section of the KeithWhann.com website to enable consumers the ability to obtain video answers to questions about the car buying process for free. I am also in the process of developing a car buying seminar and other educational tools for consumers that will debut in the spring of 2007."
This spring NIADA.TV will also be launching its new consumer television network. Along that line, Mr. Linn said "NIADA members recognize what is good for the consumer is good for business". This information will also be provided free of charge. "If we do this right," said Mr. Whann, "we will have better informed consumers which should translate into more satisfied customers, and we should be able to put some fun back into the car buying process along the way!"
Mr. Whann and Mr. Linn will be available for interviews from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 4 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, December 11. They are also available prior to the broadcast by appointment.
