An Affiliate of Sun Capital Partners, Inc. Acquires Big 10 Tire Stores, Inc.

BOCA RATON, Fla.--Sun Capital Partners, Inc.:

  • Big 10 is the sixth largest independent tire dealer in the U.S.
  • Transaction positions Big 10 for future growth in southeastern U.S.

Sun Capital Partners, Inc. (“Sun Capital”), a leading private investment firm specializing in leveraged buyouts and investments in market-leading companies, today announced that one of its affiliates has acquired Big 10 Tire Stores, Inc. (“Big 10”). Headquartered in Mobile, Alabama, Big 10 is one of the largest independent tire dealers in Southeastern U.S. with leadership positions in key markets throughout Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Big 10 has 101 locations from which it sells multiple types and brands of tires and provides a range of automotive maintenance and supply services including tires, oil change, battery and brake repair. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
