Stride Rite Selects TradeCard to Standardize Operations and Drive Business Growth
NEW YORK--TradeCard Inc., the leading provider of global trade products for financial and physical supply chain automation, announced today that footwear manufacturer Stride Rite has signed on to implement the TradeCard Platform and SourceView visibility suite to streamline global trade and reduce costs caused by stock outs, excess inventory, late shipments, missed deliveries and retailer chargebacks. TradeCard will eliminate manual processes and extend control of Stride Rite's physical and financial supply chains to enhance visibility, improve margin and cash flow, and drive business growth.
"TradeCard allows us to increase our business capacity without adding staff or additional resources overseas," said Jim Luks, Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller at Stride Rite. "Process automation and extended visibility into our suppliers will help us ensure that shipments arrive at the right place at the right time. By eliminating unexpected surprises in the supply chain, the TradeCard Platform and SourceView will enable us to reduce costs, optimize cash and drive growth overseas."
Stride Rite will eliminate manual transaction processes, standardize global trade operations and tie together multiple brand processes on the TradeCard Platform. Stride Rite will leverage SourceView to better manage chargebacks, track work in process and implement vendor scorecarding. The SourceView visibility suite extends enterprise visibility to overseas factory floors in Asia, Europe, Latin and South America, and hard to reach destinations such as Vietnam.
"Stride Rite is adding agility to its supply chain while reducing inventory carrying costs and improving working capital - it's a win-win situation for their chief finance and supply chain officers," said Kurt Cavano, CEO of TradeCard. "TradeCard and SourceView provide the ability to support growth and global expansion with minimal IT resources. Stride Rite is gaining a strategic advantage by extracting costs from the supply chain while at the same time positioning itself to support global expansion."
The TradeCard Platform integrates financial services into a trading network that brings together thousands of buyers and suppliers around the globe. TradeCard provides flexibility and scalability that allows users to add trading partners to their network as they grow, supported by a local “feet on the street” team that speaks 32 languages and supports customers in 40 countries.
