NHRA Norwalk Tickets On Sale Monday December 4
Norwalk, Ohio, November 27 - The most popular pieces of paper in the 2007 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series schedule will soon be available. Tickets to the inaugural Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals go on sale to the public Monday, December 4.
The inaugural Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals will be held June 28 through July 1 as the 12th event on NHRA's 23-race POWERade Drag Racing Series schedule, and the first-ever POWERade Series event at what will be known as Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park.
The race will be televised on ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD as teams compete for points in the NHRA's new Countdown to the Championship format.
"We are bringing in extra people on the phones to be prepared," said track president Bill Bader, Jr. "We've been getting inquiries from all across the country, including people looking to buy tickets for Christmas gifts, and we expect these tickets will be in high demand."
Some of the top names in drag racing will be competing at the race. This includes newly-crowned POWERade Series 2006 world champions Tony Schumacher (Top Fuel), Norwalk regular John Force (Funny Car), Summit-sponsored Jason Line (Pro Stock) and Andrew Hines (Pro Stock Motorcycle). Schumacher and Force each recently received $400,000 checks from NHRA and POWERade for being named world champions. Line received $200,000 and Hines banked $50,000.
