DongFeng at Auto China 2006

Shanghai November 18, 2006; TACHNet affiliate AutoIndex reported that DongFeng exhibited 15 vehicles at Auto China 2006 and unveiled a new expansion strategy.

Called D120 it is a three-year development program. D represents DongFeng, the Dream and the Development while 120 refers to the fact that the company aims to produce 1.2 million vehicles by 2008.

DongFeng exhibited 15 vehicles at the show, mostly products from their joint ventures with Citroën, Nissan and Honda.

However there were self-designed vehicles, including a sportscar prototype powered by a 2.4-liter Euro II engine. It features independent suspension, hydraulic steering, ABS. Inside there's an 8" screen, four-spoke steering wheels etc.
