Indy Driver Jimmy Kite Opens JK Hobby World

FARMINGTON, Mo., November 20, 2006 - Jimmy Kite is used to the high-speed world of professional motorsports. Now, he is quickly becoming accustom the high-speed world of commerce. Kite is far from stepping out of the open wheel and stock car machines that have made him a fan favorite.

However, as he has done his entire career, the five-time starter of the Indianapolis 500 has found a way to help secure his future while doing something he loves; the hobby business. Kite has opened a new store, JK Hobby World, to feed one passion while working on the other.

JK Hobby World is currently operating with a storefront in Farmington, Missouri, where Kite has longtime family roots, and recently debuted JK Hobby World online at <http://www.jkhobbyworld.com/> www.JKHobbyWorld.com. JK Hobby World has a complete line of supplies for the hobby enthusiast including models, games, train and slot car sets as well as an extensive list of radio controlled cars, planes, tools and supplies.

"Ever since I was a kid I've loved to build models," said Kite. "When there wasn't anything going on in racing it would keep me involved in the sport. Once I got older I really got into the RC cars. That is what led me to open JK Hobby World. I'm definitely not done racing but without a fulltime IndyCar or NASCAR deal right now, I decided to look a little bit towards my future. Opening the store made perfect sense. It is a great way to combine things I really like and leaves me open to pursue rides."

JK Hobby World has gotten the nod from some of Kite's friends in the racing world as well. The IndyCar Series has stepped-up to offer tickets to two lucky customers at every round of the 2007 IndyCar Series season. Customers will also be eligible to win tickets and suite passes for the 91st Running of the Indianapolis 500 and tickets to the Allstate 400 at The Brickyard or the USGP at Indianapolis.

"It is great to have friends in high places," laughed Kite. "We wanted to set ourselves apart. We'll still have great prices, some of the best on the web, but this is an added encouragement for people to make their purchase with JK Hobby World. Every time you buy from us, you'll be entered to win two tickets, including cold passes into the garage area, for every IndyCar race next year. You could even win two tickets and suite passes to the three biggest racing events in the world with the Indy 500, the Allstate 400 at The Brickyard and the USGP at Indianapolis. You won't find that offer anywhere else in the world."

While offering a wide-range of hobby supplies, JK Hobby World specializes in radio controlled products. Kite's store carries not only completed RC cars, trucks, planes and helicopters but engines, batteries, fuel and more for the dedicated RC aficionado looking to build their own.

"Out of everything I have done outside of the race car, RC is probably the thing I've liked the most," said Kite of his dedication to the top-of-the-line RC products at his store. "It was a big part of opening the store. I was always on the internet looking for the best stuff I could find to make my cars go a little faster, just like in racing. I was running-around everywhere looking, buying from here and there. I started to think there had to be a better way for everyone. So, I started looking into it and decided last summer to open the store with our primary focus on internet sales. From there is just grew. It is pretty exciting for me and it is going real well so far. Everyone seems to be really happy there is a single place they can go find this stuff and get a chance to win race tickets."
