Manheim's Dallas fort worth auto auction HOSTs
oil rig and equipment AUCTIONs
ATLANTA - Manheim's Dallas Fort Worth Auto Auction is
gearing up for its second oil rig and equipment auction on Nov. 30, in
Grayville, Ill.
"Venturing into this market is a great new way for the
auction to expand and grow our revenue sources," said John Swofford,
Dallas Fort Worth Auto Auction assistant general manager. "As the price
of gas and drilling activity in the U.S. continues to rise, this market
is going to grow exponentially."
The auction partnered with San Antonio-based BC Auctioneers
to host Manheim's first oil rig and equipment auction in Henryetta,
Okla., on Nov. 9.
The first auction, which offered 500 lots of oil drilling
rigs and well-servicing equipment, attracted 150 buyers from across the
U.S. and Mexico. Buyers were able to view the rigs and equipment through
a slideshow of photographs. The auction sold $1.2 million worth of rigs
and drilling equipment.
"These oil field auctions allow Manheim to reach out to a
new customer base and provide the opportunity to further diversify the
specialty products and services we can offer," said Frank Post, Dallas
Fort Worth Auto Auction general manager. "Manheim will bring the same
level of customer service and professionalism to these new kinds of
auctions as it has for more than 60 years for car auctions."
