CHICAGO, Nov. 20, 2006 -- NAVTEQ , a leading global provider of digital map data for location-based solutions and vehicle navigation, has been chosen by Chapman Location Systems, to provide map data for use in combination with its C3 enterprise monitoring solutions and GPS device solutions.

Chapman Location Systems has created an industry leading Location-Based Service (LBS) monitoring software platform that uses NAVTEQ digital map data to instantly render map information using its high speed map engine. Chapman provides a complete suite of tools needed to manage and/or provide scalable LBS solutions across a variety of vertical markets. Their open architecture enables the integration of legacy and new GPS devices into a common format using the Chapman C3 software solution. Chapman offers a complete turnkey solution for Municipal Response Centers, Alarm Central Stations, large and small commercial fleets and Emergency Service Providers to support a self service high speed internet application or provide 24X7 live operators for dispatch and emergency monitoring, or a combination of both.

NAVTEQ is able to support Chapman Location Systems many different needs because it employs one of the industry's most comprehensive map development and quality control programs for the highest levels of excellence and precision. NAVTEQ's map database is developed and continually updated by a team of approximately 600 geographic analysts. The map database includes detailed attributes from turn restrictions, one-way streets and speed categories that can be used to help customers optimize routing and vehicle tracking.
