The company’s Financial Services sector operates under two segments, namely, Ford Motor Credit Corporation, which undertakes financing, leasing and insurance of vehicles and The Hertz Corporation, which rents cars, trucks and industrial equipments. For fiscal 2005, Ford generated total sales of US$178,101 million, an increase of 3.8% over fiscal 2004. The Automotive sector contributed 86.8% (US$154,515 million) to the total sales in 2005.
