Woodard Racing, Homestead-Miami Motorsports Complex Pre-Race Quotes: Damon Lusk, driver of the No. 25 Woodard Racing Dodge:
On Phoenix: “I’m really disappointed about performance at Phoenix. We had a very good truck, we just couldn’t get the truck to handle the way we needed to. We made changes all night long and it didn’t work. We finished the race in one piece, so I’m happy about that.?? On Homestead: “I’m never competed in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Homestead, but I have a Busch Series start back in 2003. I started and finished in the top-20. My goal is to beat that this Friday and give Woodard Racing their first top-ten finish.??
On Driving For Woodard Racing: “It’s been a blast driving the Woodard Racing Dodge. We’ve had some good runs, and I feel we’ve come a long way in a very short period of time. I’ve got a great crew and owner. We’re really on the sponsorship hunt to keep this team alive heading into the 2007 season.?? Rick Woodard, Owner of the No. 25 Woodard Racing Dodge:
On Phoenix: “It just wasn’t our night. We did the best we could and just missed a top-25 finish. We started in the back and worked our way up, but just couldn’t hang on to the lead lap. Damon did a good job, he fought the truck all night, sometimes that’s just the way it goes.?? On Driver Damon Lusk: “Damon has done a great job for the Woodard Racing team. We’ve had some great runs with him and I’m looking forward to Friday’s event. We are looking for sponsorship to keep this team in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series next season and have Damon as the driver.??
On Homestead: “We’ve run very well on the mile-and-a-half tracks this season and Homestead is another one of those tracks. I’m feeling very good about this week’s finale and I hope we can bring home a top-ten to close our season on a high note.??
