Cox Auto Trader Names Joe George Vice President 

of Strategy and Business Development

 

ATLANTA (November 15, 2006) - Atlanta-based Cox Auto Trader today
announced that Joe George, age 40, has been appointed vice president of
strategy and business development.  Reporting to Sandy Schwartz,
president of Cox Auto Trader, George will be responsible for maximizing
value and implementing synergies across Cox Auto Trader companies as
well as identifying potential partnerships and business alliances across
all of Cox Enterprises' subsidiaries.

 

"Joe's many years of experience at Manheim and AutoTrader.com and his
knowledge of Cox companies will help us realize greater efficiencies,
opportunities and ultimately, strategic alliances that are both exciting
and critical for our growth," said Schwartz.

 

George began his career with Cox at Manheim in 1990 as a marketing and
arbitration manager. A series of promotions followed, including
assistant auction general manager of sales and marketing for Manheim's
Ohio Auto Auction. In 1998, he joined the newly launched AutoTrader.com
as director of dealer services and served in many roles, including vice
president of dealer services, chief product officer and most recently,
senior vice president.  His responsibilities included customer service,
product strategy and key areas of operations as well as day-to-day
relationship management with Manheim and Trader Publishing Company.  

             

A graduate of Ohio State University, George has a Bachelor of Science
and Arts degree and a Master's degree in Business.
