Andy Lally  Impressive In Stock Car Test 

CONCORD,  North Carolina (Tuesday, November 14, 2006) - - When  road racing 
ace Andy Lally makes his transition to stock car racing, one thing  is for 
certain, he will shine. Lally turned his first laps in a stock car last  Thursday 
at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, one of NASCAR’s fastest tracks on the  circuit. 
Lally,  the only three-time Rolex Grand Am Champion headed into the test 
session with an  open mind. His main focus heading into the scheduled eight-hour 
test included  several mock-runs, and relaying information back and forth to 
his crew.   
Throughout  the day, Lally showed determination and strength in a heavy test 
guided by ARCA  RE/MAX Series veteran and NASCAR driver Andy Belmont. Lally’s 
lap times were  strong enough to put him solidly in the last ARCA RE/MAX 
Series event held at  the 1.5-mile facility.  
“Andy  did an awesome job,�?? said Belmont. “He is so smooth and learns so 
quickly  he drove like a he’s been doing this for a while. His feedback was great 
and his  feel for the car was strong. He is the real deal and I was very 
fortunate to  work with him. We have an additional test scheduled next month and I’
m really  looking forward to it.�?? 
As  for the 2006 Rolex Grand Am Champion, he was eagerly excited about how 
the test  went.  "I had a great time at Lowe’s  Motor Speedway with Andy and the 
guys,�?? said the 29-year old. “The first time I  set my eyes on this place 
was when I was racing go karts there in the infield.  To be able to have the 
chance to fly into turn one in a stock car and run well  was so much fun." 
Lally,  a native of Georgia added,  "I am trying to get as much seat time as 
I can  I would love to be able to run some ARCA races next year as well as try 
and make  the NASCAR Busch Series road course races, so every bit of testing 
that I get is  a plus. Andy's crew was very helpful to me through out the day 
with answering  all of my questions. I learned a lot and look forward to 
trying it  again." 
“When  we head back to test I expect to be blown away,�?? added Belmont, who 
fielded a  full time entry in the ARCA RE/MAX Series this season for various 
drivers. “I  really think he has the credentials to be a great stock car driver 
and I hope  that I’m with him for it.�?? 
Lally  soared into his new venue with a successful and impressive resume to 
his credit.  In addition to his Rolex Grand Am Championships, Lally has 
experience In the 24  Hours of Le  Mans, SPEED World Challenge Series, Barber Dodge 
Pro  Series and USF2000 Series. Lally will return to  LMS next month on the 
heels of winning six Grand Am events this  year."
