Sensory Analytics Advances SpecMetrix with Nanometric Upgrade and Introduction of First Robotically-Integrated System
GREENSBORO, N.C.--Sensory Analytics, an emerging leader in non-contact and non-destructive coating measurement systems, today announced the release of significant SpecMetrix™ system advances at the 2006 Aerospace Testing Expo in Anaheim, CA. These upgrades will afford customers higher-level functionality and enable 100 percent automation of their quality assurance processes.
Sensory Analytics’ robotically-integrated system will provide fully-automated coating inspection for in-line measurement applications and high-volume production environments.
The new nanometric software upgrade allows coating thickness measurements down to 200 nanometers. This upgrade package improves the measurement capabilities of the original system, which was designed to measure from 1 to 200 microns.
Each of these new SpecMetrix™ systems provide users the ability to measure the thickness of both wet and dry coatings.
“Our latest advances help manufacturers save both time and money versus the traditional, time-consuming contact and destructive measurement methodologies,” said Greg Frisby, CEO of Sensory Analytics. “The robotically-integrated system will significantly impact the automotive, medical and high-volume consumer packaging industries, while our nanometric upgrade package will greatly facilitate aerospace, medical and other precision coating measurements.”
SpecMetrix™ gives users precise, real-time coating measurement results without destructive testing and sampling methods with no harm to the coating itself. Capable of measuring coating thickness and color, SpecMetrix™ systems are supporting customers in a growing number of production, finishing and quality assurance areas. The patented systems, integrated with proprietary SensorMetric™ software, enable real-time measurement and automatically record and store data for subsequent review or for use within other customer quality programs.
