Showroom Stock B and C, Formula Continental Go Green on SPEED This Week

TOPEKA, Kan. (Nov. 13, 2006) - Programming for the 2006 SCCA National Championship Runoffs continues this week on SPEED with three adrenaline-pumping races on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Beginning at 12 p.m. (EST), tune in to see if defending Showroom Stock C Champion Pete Taylor, of Ortonville, Mich., can successfully navigate the opening lap pandemonium and defend his title, or if John Heinricy of Royal Oak, Mich., will add another National Championship to his impressive Runoffs resume.

Next up at 1 p.m. (EST) is the first of the formula car classes, Formula Continental. Drama unfolds as several race favorites leave the grid late and defending champion Nicki Coello, of East Troy, Wis., is challenged early by Cole Morgan, of Lighthouse Point, Fla. Will a full-course yellow midway through the race thwart Coello's hopes of an FC Triple Crown?

Capping off the day's schedule at 2 p.m. (EST) is Showroom Stock B. An all-Pontiac Solstice front row composed of teammates Andrew Aquilante, of Chester Springs, Pa., and Don Knowles of Pittsboro, N.C., lead the field to the green flag. One will go on to dominate, the other will make a heartbreaking stop in pitlane.

Flip the channel to SPEED to watch the stories unfold lap by lap and get some unique perspectives on your favorite racers with SPEED's driver vignettes.
