Line runner-up at Pomona

POMONA, Calif. (November 12, 2006) - - In a battle of the two
identically prepared KB Racing LLC / Summit Racing Equipment Pontiac
GTOs, Jason Line, the newly-crowned 2006 POWERade Pro Stock Champion,
was turned back by teammate and three-time POWERade champ Greg Anderson.

En route to the final round Line defeated Jim Yates, Dave Connolly, and
V. Gaines.

For Line, it was his ninth final round of 2006 - he has won four of the
nine. Additionally, in a career that began in 2003, it was his 24th
final round. He has 12 career wins and 12 career losses during that span.

"It was great fun," said Line. "It would have been nice to win the
final round but you can't win them all, even though we'd like to. At
least my teammate (Greg Anderson) did win. What more could you ask for.

"We wanted to win the race but we did win the POWERade championship and
that important. Winning the championship is probably the best thing that
has happened to me in racing and the most fun I've had since starting
Pro Stock. I'm proud of this team and everybody on it. They are a
dedicated bunch of guys. They've all done a great job. I couldn't be
any happier. Cindy and I having our son, Jack, and winning the
championship the same year has been awesome for me. I don't know what I
can do for an encore."

Line and teammate Anderson finished one-two respectively in the final
NHRA POWERade point standings, the fourth consecutive year that a KB
Racing LLC Pontiac, sponsored by Summit Racing Equipment has won the
championship. Line will receive his POWERade trophy, emblematic of
winning the 2006 NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Championship, at tomorrow
evening's NHRA POWERade Awards Ceremony and a check for $200,000.

Next Race: In approximately 3 months, the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing
Series returns to Auto Club Raceway at Pomona for the season-opening
NHRA CARQUEST Auto Parts Winternationals (Feb. 8-11, 2007).

Television: The elimination show for the 42nd annual NHRA Auto Club
Finals, originally aired tonight, repeats on ESPN2 / ESPN2 HD early
Tuesday morning (Nov. 14) from 3-5 a.m. Television time is Eastern Time
(ET) and subject to change at anytime. Check local listings.
