LONDON - November 8, 2006: During the short time the Bristol Fighter has been on the market, the company has noted that owners tend to use the cars as everyday transport instead of a conventional car. They also love to use them for recreational or track day purposes.

At 3500 rpm the standard Fighter produces an impressive 525 lb.ft of torque. The Fighter T delivers more than 900 lb.ft at the same rpm, and continues to do so all the way up to the rev limit of 6000 rpm.
About the Fighter range:

Bristol does not accept the conventional view that a car this fast need sacrifice anything in the way of cosseting luxury. Indeed, by concentrating on the needs of just two people the Fighter may very well be the most luxurious Bristol we have ever built. The exterior is clothed in hand beaten aluminium and carbon fibre bodywork. The interior is trimmed and coachbui1t to the highest standards combining the finest Wilton carpet, with extra soft leather and the luxury of extra thick soundproofing underlays. The perfect environment in which to enjoy the car's astonishing performance.
Driving is quite simply the Fighter's raison d'etre. It is designed to be exceptionally agile and accurate in its responses so as to provide maximum reward for the enthusiastic driver. Bristol's aerospace expertise has created a car that is remarkably light in weight yet sets new standards for structural stiffness and strength. The lowest attainable centre of gravity is allied to Bristol's trademark front mid-engine design giving a 52% rearward weight bias for improved traction, handling balance and responsiveness.
The Fighter's pure gull-wing doors look wonderful when open yet ensure unobstructed entry and a gracious exit even in a confined space or next to high kerbs. The interior will accommodate with remarkable comfort, individuals ranging in height from 5' to 6'7". All round visibility sets totally new standards ensuring that the car can always be parked with ease and positioned with satisfying accuracy on the road. Ample ground clearance eliminates concerns over negotiating speed humps or unpaved roads while an unexpectedly tight turning circle and compact external dimensions make the Fighter a really enjoyable town car. Most unusually a full-sized spare wheel is standard equipment and the luggage compartment provides more room than that of some four-seaters. Best of all, the Fighter is easily the most compact car in its class, as happy on small Alpine roads as it is in busy traffic.
In a world where cars are styled first and tested for function afterwards the Fighter is again unique. The entire body was designed by engineers from the outset to control the airflow over every surface. Lift and drag characteristics have been optimised using the same principles as successful Land Speed Record cars. There are no wings or venturis, nor are they needed. High-speed stability is absolute while the drag coefficient is a class leading 0.28 to the benefit of performance and fuel economy. In short a new aerodynamic standard has been set.
Bristol's new Fighter is designed without the usual cost constraints and coachbuilt by proud and conscientious artisans. For the experienced and highly discerning motorist there is no better way to travel from A to B however great or small that distance may be.
