Shuler races to win in House of Representatives
Eddyville, KY – Former NFL quarterback Heath Shuler was elected to the U. S. House of Representatives from North Carolina on Tuesday.

Part of Shuler’s successful campaign included a foray into the world of NASCAR. The Shuler campaign was the primary sponsor of the #23 Heath Shuler for Congress Chevrolet at Lowes Motor Speedway last month.

“I’m really happy for Heath,” said Brad Keselowski, driver of the #23. “I enjoyed meeting him and being a part of his campaign and I know that he is going to do a fantastic job representing the people of North Carolina.”

Shuler will represent the 11th District in North Carolina, which encompasses the Western part of the state. He is one of several Democrats that ousted incumbent Republicans to shift the balance of power in the U. S. House of Representatives.

“I want to congratulate Heath,” said Keith Coleman, team owner. “He ran a strong campaign and I’m very pleased that the entire KCR team could aid him in his own race to ‘victory lane’ last night.”
